sport and leisure facilities were good, also the member of staff there was very friendly and helpfull.
Other members of staff need retraining in customer service.Drinking cans of juice at the reception is not a good look.

I would thoroughly recommend eating in the restaurant - excellent service and the food itself is fantastic!

All good - we loved this small hotel - the food was delicious and the staff were accommodating. The property was in an incredible location near the outskirts of Elgin town, deep Scotland and the coast. Plus, it was about 10 minutes' drive to Glen Moray Distillery.

Every morning, I hit the gym, helped by the friendly staff who made it a daily joy. The bar area was not only charming but also served good local beers. I couldn't resist the atmosphere!

The gym is good and the staff all very helpful.
Very poor insulation, so very noisy. Room was very small and dated.

The requirement that on arrival one is asked for credit card details and then told that an additional sum to the advertised rate will be added to the credit card account. I have never had this requirement before and I therefore declined to give my credit card details. It was an off-putting situation and almost offensive to your hotel guest.

The food was nice in the bar and the refit of the public areas is nice.
The rooms and corridors for guests are in dire need of a facelift. Hall and room carpets are filthy. Paintwork chipped. Poor lighting and insufficient lighting in my room. My room was damp and had damp stains at the window and in the bathroom. There was insufficient ventilation to remove the steam when showering. Low signal for television - many freeview channels missing. Scratchy toilet paper. Only a single mortice lock on my door, no yale or multi-bolt system.

Easy to find and plenty of car parking. Evening meal was fine and good quality but breakfast a bit poor.
Single rooms are just a bit on the small side.

We had a lovely time enjoying the breakfast buffet with homemade pancakes and bacon-they were delicious! The relaxing atmosphere of the treatment room and body wraps. Just a heads-up, the hallway noise did wake us up a bit, but it didn't dampen our overall experience. 😊
